For trygt at kunne identificere et økologisk frugt- og grøntsagsprodukt, frisk eller forarbejdet eller emballeret, skal du se på etiketten, hvor alle obligatoriske oplysninger er angivet. Økologisk mærkning garanterer forbrugerne overholdelse af økologiske produktionsstandarder, der er certificeret i overensstemmelse med EU-forordning EF 834/2007.
